03 / A little about me
An athlete’s heart. A journalist’s curiosity.
Before I told sports stories, I lived them.
I’m Emilia, an Ecuadorian journalist and former competitive soccer player based in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and open to international opportunities. Sport taught me to prepare, listen, and stay composed when the pressure is on. Now I bring that same approach to the newsroom.
I’m especially drawn to women’s sports, the people behind the performance, and the way media shapes fan culture. I report in English and Spanish, and enjoy taking a story from the first question to the final edit.
